Its official, we are soon to be paperless! Over the past year, we have been working on a new system to revolutionise the way we do business. Gone will be the days of endless reams of paper to document transactions and in its place will be a sophisticated, data secure, software and hardware system.
The benefits are going to be enormous all around!
A new customer portal for commercial customers will provide a superior ordering platform that also houses reports and documents in one easily accessible and manageable place. Household customers will be able to order online through the domestic customer system which has been designed for quick, easy ordering and simplistic payment methods.
Our goal has been to save our customers time and money whilst streamlining our internal processes. The installation will include advanced, real-time tracking capability improving route optimisation and ETA accuracy. Invoice information will be digitally conveyed and so we should see vast efficiencies all around.
Our drivers will be equipped with devices to collect information digitally offering quicker and more comprehensive reporting. It will also mean no more manual signatures which support our on-going COVID safe working practices.
It’s a natural fit with our environmental policy and stands to offer carbon saving across the business.
We are conscientious that online moves can take an adjustment so will be offering training and support to our customers, and we will always be at the end of the phone!
This project has been supported by the TALE programme who specialise in transport and logistical efficiencies. The focus of support was improved productivity and efficiency along with data security. Their expert advice has been invaluable to the realisation of this project.
We are excited for our launch date which is anticipated in Summer 2022.
