The LHMC Soapbox race in Lydden, nr Dover is set to return this year for local entries on Sunday 31st of March 2024.
We were delighted here at EKR that one of our very own team has decided to get busy building a creative kart to enter the competition. In keeping with our ethos of environmental sustainability of materials and reuse, the kart is to be built from recycled materials.
This project has naturally piqued interest and enthusiasm across our departments, gaining support from our mechanics, transport, and recycling teams. We are very excited to see the final article ready to race and encourage people to support our local race course in Lydden by joining the event.
